Finally home and catching my breath! Rebecca Kimbel who is producing the Duct Tape Video was thrilled with all the photos and the stories. All I can say is Thank you so much and keep them coming. What has been most gratifying is the stories of conversations that have begun in some families over this simple photo. I hope that there are many more begun that I haven’t heard about. I applaud those of you who declared your first step to healing by posting a duct tape selfie.(photo)
WE HAVE BEGUN SOMETHING BIGGER THAN EACH ONE OF US ALONE.
WE HAVE BEGUN TO COME
We all have a responsibility to stop living on a survivor level. To strive to move beyond it. If we don’t we are not really living. If we don’t, we have little to give. I challenge you! Don’t hold back! Show others in survival mode that you are a survivor, that they too are Survivors The more you participate in the world, the more the world will make a difference for you. The more you participate in life, the greater your gifts.
Every day ask, What is needed of me today? You may find that the biggest obstacle is you….
Duct Tape Photos for Awareness Project
Send your photos to BeHeard@hotmail.com
I as in WE, the survivor community have a filming opportunity coming up to be presented in April for Child Abuse Prevention supported by a producer at PBS. This has the potential to be huge for awareness and for bringing the survivor community together. This film will be available for re-posting via YOU TUBE in April and beyond. You only need to be a supporter of the survivor community.
I am going to be filmed during an interview discussing statutes of limitations, Child Sexual Abuse population, cost, statutes of limitations, pain, part of my story, what children today are living through behind closed doors, what adult survivors of abuse carry with them today and why I do all this. I will also be talking about why we call all this a SILENT CRIME, ergo, the duck tape.
I need selfies or photos sent to me similar to the ones you see here. You don’t have to give your name or any information. The photos will scroll behind for approximately 1 second me as I speak. We expect it to be very powerful. You can email it to my email BeHeard@hotmail.com. I hope you get your friends involved. Get creative and have a little fun as there’s lots of colorful tape to express yourself with. I also hope that you will also plan to post your selfie for the month of April because we all know

Can You Hear Me Now? Annie and Author of Tear Down This Wall Dale and Faith Ingraham
Lets talk about the need for churches when life hurts the most!
Dale Ingraham, is the Author of Tear Down This Wall This book exposes the sin of sexual abuse and gives clear guidelines in dealing with offenders, victims and their families. The author knows first hand how difficult it is to discover that someone you loved and trusted has betrayed that trust and has victimized many vulnerable individuals. He knows how easily one can be convinced that it is better to keep silent than to face the difficulties of exposing an offender and having to answer the questions that will arise from the community, families, and legal organizations. There are no easy answers, but these issues must be faced head on, in spite of the difficulties.
Dale and is wife Faith travel the country presenting Seminars on several subjects, but tonight we talk about relationships, trust, and the struggles that Survivors can have finding and maintaining what it takes to be happy and at peace.
Speaking Truth in Love Ministries addresses the difficult issues of Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence within the body of Christ by: Raising Awareness about abuse: Doing Training on how to prevent abuse: Promoting Healing for those who have been hurt by abuse and Teaching people how to deal with abuse and hold offenders accountable.
The show is live! Call in is encouraged and lines will be open (714) 816-4679 Let talk!
